Miss Alma survived the storm by hiding in her attic until the water receded enough for her and her family to walk to safety. She has lived in her home since 1938. We re-dedicated it to her in November 2007, just in time for her to have her whole family over for Thanksgiving. Miss Alma lives on Horace Page Rd, named for her husband, He hand-built the first road in the 1940s with leftover bricks from his job at the brickyard, so the street was named for him.
